I took advantage of our Thanksgiving trip to Boston to order a few things we couldn’t get delivered to our PO Box and got them delivered to Naama and Bob’s (who graciously stored the boxes until we collected them).  Among my purchases was a yogurt cheese maker, which produces a right tasty labane (goes great with the Za’atar Naama brought me back in September!).  And, I bought an ice-cream/sorbet maker, which I kicked into action over the week-end.

I decided to start off with a Passion Fruit Sorbet , which turned out really well.  It is very intense in flavor (augmented a tad by the lemon rum…) and very refreshing.  I also tried a Papaya ice-cream recipe, but was less impressed: Ok flavor but the texture was a bit off (a bit grainy and icy).  I’ll have to keep working on that one…
