Tonight we celebrate the last of the eight nights of Channukah, also known as the festival of lights.  We were prepared to celebrate in darkness, as we had no power during the afternoon. However, we came home to the modern miracle of electricity.  It might not last for 8 whole days, but we are grateful for it!  One thing is for sure–we no longer take our utilities for granted!

You can’t have a light without a dark to stick it in.  ~Arlo Guthrie
