This weekend we participated in the third annual Relevo por La Vida in Rincón. As we took part in last year’s event, we thought we knew what to expect: a joyous, heartwarming fund-raising event that celebrates life while remembering those who lost their battle with cancer. Once again, however, we were completely blown away by the overall positive vibe of the event, which is difficult to capture in words (but will keep me in a good mood for weeks, if not months to come!). Music, amazing costumes, great food (of course!) and warm smiles were everywhere you turned. The team tents this year were amazing, capturing the theme “Countries celebrating hope” with great creativity, inventiveness and sometimes a sense of humor (Las Vegas as a celebration of hope is a stroke of genius!).

We have many pictures and videos to share and we’ll let you know how much money the event raised for the Puerto Rico chapter of the American Cancer Society. For now, we want to send out a big “muchas gracias” to our friends and family who helped Nick and I raise $550 for our team.
