If you are a potter, you see kiln posts (used to support shelves in a kiln). If you are a lizard, it turns out that you see a lovely, snug, seemingly made to order lizard hotel. I had to evict a lizard this morning while loading a bisque kiln. Here he is patiently hanging out on the vent pipe waiting for me to be gone.
I don’t think I’ll be naming this dude. One would suspect that hanging out in a kiln room is not the best way to assure longevity. From now on I will carefully examine my kiln posts before placing them in the kiln… And, yes, the peep holes in my kiln are ALWAYS plugged up. You know, I never had this problem in the UK… 😉
